The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed about the higher amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The service point produced for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the sassa servicing of all buyers and improve access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
